KPLZ might not do it again this year… but who knows. KCMS KSWD and KRWM will probably do it soon KCMS maybe this week and KRWM and KSWD probably with in next week or the week after. If KPLZ does flip it will probably be Nov. 22 @ 5 or 6 pm. Btw KQMV KRWM KSWD and KHTP are succeeding this month. KRWM is beating The Sound though. KQMV I has a 4.2 share which isn’t bad for the ratings.

Again, what do Christmas songs on any station have to do with October 6+ ratings, which is now in the past?

KRWM and KSWD have good ratings KSWD 3.6 and KRWM 4.0. Also KPLZ is a 2.8. Same rating as last month but probably low in certain demos.

Not sure what month you think it is but in the worthless 6+ 103.7 got a 4.3 in the latest book. After reading some of your pots you need to think before you hit post.
Oh sorry I put down the September ratings by mistake… KJEB has a 4.7, KIRO has a 4.2 for its FM counterpart with the AM counterpart being a 4.3 rating.

Everything to do with where they might head for the NEXT survey(s). Everything to do with the question of what to do ABOUT those October numbers (or lack thereof).
Wait, what? How does quoting 6+ published numbers from October have to do with part of November-December? It's completely different programming and only a small part of the year. A few stations doing Christmas packages for a few weeks don't make or break revenue targets for the year.
The Christmas fixation on this board is the strangest thing. If there weren't so few in numbers, it would make for an interesting collegiate psychological study.

Wow, what happened to KUOW this month? I'm not sure I've ever seen them that high, and certainly not in a long time. Also, KBKS and KQMV are tied, something we haven't been anywhere close to seeing for several years. The last time KBKS beat KQMV was in November 2012, and they haven't even been close since then until recently.
Re: Christmas music. KRWM historically has been the Friday before Thanksgiving at 3 P.M. This might be different this year as it has since I left the market, but that's still when I expect it. That would put it on 11/17.

It isn't that way anymore. It is pretty random between 11/1 and the Friday before Thanksgiving lately usually the same week as the Friday before Thanksgiving. It could be Nov 8 or 9 this year especially since more people might want to listen to it early again due to the Isreal-Palestine and Ukraine-Russia wars. KRWM has historically been the first station to be all-Christmas but the first station could also be KCMS or KSWD. I think KQMV is pretty successful as well as KRWM and KSWD. You also have KJAQ, KZOK, and KJEB which are successful in both demos and 6+.

Um... Christmas music would be in the Dec and Holiday 2023 ratings primarily. I don't think KRWM and KSWD will play a lot of new Christmas music and KCMS usually does new religious songs every year.

'Christmas fixation' on the board may reflect the 'Christmas fixation' of the stations that seem to think that Christmas music boosts their ratings. If Christmas music does so little for a station's revenues, what is the reason for doing it?

They do it because people want them to do it. It increases their 6+ ratings every year to #1 and sometimes even increases their demos if they are below #1. Right now KRWM has a 4.0 share but it should skyrocket to #1 around the December PPMS.
