Since our serial poster can't or won't engage in discussion of the ratings - only posting the links to beauty-contest numbers that everyone knows already - I'll start things off:

What's with the big hike in KJR numbers? Did KMCQ's demise really help?
What caused KISW's BC numbers to drop so much?
When will Sinclair throw in the towel on KOMO and KVI and just make them 24/7 informercial outlets?

Discuss.

Wow, there's movement all over this book. KRWM way down, KMPS beating KKWF for once, KJR suddenly #1, and what's with KCIS suddenly climbing out of non-existence?

Looks like the team at KJR knows what they are doing. New PD came in and dialed it in and now they are doing great. The detractors will say KCMQ went away or blame it on Voltair or the Blood Moons or some other silly lame ass thing. How about this...they are good at what they do. Great air talent a solid AM Show and a PD who has them laser focused, tight, and playing high testing songs people know and love. Sure it's the same 200 songs but that line is the same for any format...How many times do I need to hear Katy Perry or Maroon 5 or Adel on 8 different stations in the market. PUH-LEASE. We have a new leader in the club house folks and it's KJR - the rest of the demos you will see them #1 or Top 5 - Give them credit they must be something right and it shows.

LMAO that WARM is WAY down. Hubbard has destroyed a station that USED to be the at work station but now is floundering in mediocrity at best. Have fun!

As much as some may like to complain about iHeart, KJR most certainly sounds great these days. For some the playlist may never be large enough, but I think they've made some excellent improvements and interesting additions.

It's also nice to see that something positive is happening over at KMPS.

What the? Marty Riemer is doing better on that station than Bob Rivers did? How the heck does that happen? The songs remain the same as before, just a fresher AM drive show. Way to go Marty!

A morning show that plays music outperforming another morning show on the same station that didn't play music? What a concept!

I've seen more meaningful and accurate analysis on those old signs above the Lusty Lady than this.

I do agree about KJR, obviously they're doing something right over there, but I don't think we can completely ignore the fact that KMCQ is gone. As for Warm I agree there too. Why have they gotten so aggressive lately? Several months ago I heard Can't Hold Us by Macklemore on that station, totally out of line for an AC station. They've also played Take a Bow by Rihanna, something they never ever played when it was hot back in 2008. My programming rule has always been that unless you're making a major format change, you shouldn't play something in recurrent or gold that you didn't play as a current.

Yes, I'm sure that one Rihanna ballad they started playing back in February is the single cause of the monthly drop.

The five most spun songs this week on Warm were "Uptown Funk," "Honey I'm Good," "Fight Song" "Style" and "Photograph." Do you seriously consider those five titles as being aggressive?

Was "Photogragh" by Def Leppard? :)

I actually like what KJR-FM is playing now...it yakes me back to my 'yutes'.

Ouch! Looks like somebody got stomped in the latest ratings and not to happy about huh AQH. Yeah you can keep telling yourself that your station isn't going down like a hooker on dollar day there pal...

Aren't you just adorable?

Warm can't stay "soft" forever. It seems like most radio stations that have previously described their format as "soft favourites" have tweaked (or are tweaking) their format to the new age of AC. Perhaps "Take a Bow" was not right for Warm in 2008, but times have changed at you'd probably hear that song on every AC outlet in the country.

Warm may be getting more edgy with its music, but it’s going to be “squeaky clean” edgy! (Example: Taylor Swift’s little ‘rap’ section in “Shake It Off” completely gone on Warm’s version)
