Seattle to get a new FM radio station (finally!)

Just caught this PR from NW Broadcasters: http://members.shaw.ca/nwbroadcasters/recentnews.htm

KMIH will be going from 104.5 to 88.9 fm this weekend to accommodate KMCQ's move up from The Dalles, Or.

IN a nutshell, this is FINALLY happening! I swear I thought I heard some testing going on at 104.5 fm the other day..... :)

If it was Bonneville going oldies on 104.5, then they certainly would have kept the call letters, KBSG. Those calls have been transferred to an Aberdeen station.

More likely, this is a complete ruse. They'll get on the air in a skin and bones operation (with a studio closet in Covington), and then sell the station to another party, in my opinion.

I personally think Bonneville is NOT going to buy KMCQ and here is why: KAFE and 25,000 watts for 104.5. These people are smarter than they appear (I hope), Bustos or even Salem on the other hand......
