May 1, 2006First MOViN™ Format Station LaunchesKLSY, Seattle, changed format today at noon (PDT) to the new MOViN ™ format developed by Alan Burns and Associates. “MOViN 92.5’s” first three songs were C+C Music Factory “Gonna Make You Sweat,” “Hollaback Girl” by Gwen Stefani, and Prince’s “Kiss.”“This format is truly the first new thing in AC in years, and the first really new format since Jack,” said Sandusky Seattle Market Manager and MOViN 92.5 General Manager Marc Kaye, “and we’re thrilled to be the first in the format. When I heard the demo I got very excited – I knew this was the right thing for us, and our market research confirmed that. MOViN 92.5 will be a great complement to our female-based cluster.”Market veteran Lisa Adams has been promoted to Program Director of MOViN 92.5 concurrent with the format change. Adams said “this format is targeted to women 25 to 44, and every woman I’ve played this music for has said ‘it’s great, where can I hear it?’ Until today, the answer was ‘nowhere!’ Our essence is summed up as ‘where the music makes you feel good’ – and it does!”The “MOViN” name and format was conceived and trademarked by Alan Burns, whose Alan Burns and Associates has been consulting legendary AC and CHR stations since the mid-Eighties. “Women who were 12 to 24 in 1989 are 27 to 41 years old now” said Burns. “They grew up with rhythmic hit music, and MOViN gives them the songs from their school years mixed with today’s best pop-rhythm. We’re very proud that Marc, Lisa, and Sandusky had the vision and confidence to go with this before anyone else.”MOViN 92.5 has applied for new call letters KQMV. Sandusky Radio also owns KRWM, KWJZ, KIXI, and KKNW in Seattle. For more information, contact: Alan Burns
