Second Dance Station Emerges In Mexico: Beat 106.5 Monterrey

Broadcasting from Mexico's most industrial and successful city, Monterrey, is Beat 106.5. As many of you know Mexico City has Beat 100.9, and this is a similar sounding station. Expect to hear plenty of Trance and Progressive anthems of the kind you'd hear on Sirius XM's Area station. Don't worry - you'll also hear House music in all its forms (they're currently playing "Absolutely Not" by Deborah Cox):

If that ain't enough there's also a Dance leaning station in Guadalajara, Mexico's secong biggest city. Stereo 99 seems to play an even mix of Modern Rock and Dance titles in rotation. Currently playing is Kylie Minogue "The One":

Ive known about beat 106.5 for a while now,, About 2 or 3 yrs.., they are modeled after the Mexico City beat 100.9,, Your right, both stations are alot like Area on Sirius,, lots of Progressive Trance and House and some commercial Dance,,, im glad to see that they are streaming now,,, If they had been streaming earlier I would have mentioned them way before now, and im sure Chrles would have found them by now as well, as he is the man when it comes to finding Dance stations in odd places.

Good find on Stereo 99,, I like both Dance and Rock so this station is great for me... Im hoping its not only Dance Friendly on weekends,,, they have alot of stop sets on this Stereo 99, but luckily they are only about 2 minutes a stop set. Stereo 99 sounds great so far,, nice HI FI stream,,, I wish both Beat 106.5 and beat 100.9 had at least a 64k stream, but at least its a feed.

BTW GUYS,, India has a dance station now too, as does Malaysia,,, but neither of them webcast,, would be awesome if they did,, I think the Dance Station in india is in the city that just suffered that Horrible Terrorist attack,, cause I know it was located in a tourist town with alot of Americans and British people and the most educated and wealthy of all the Indians.. Im not sure if the Dance station in Manilla Phillipines is still streaming or not,, they were for a while, but then the stream had been down... Our very own Robert Moore found the Manila station while visiting there serving in the US Millitary.
 
I dont remember but I think you told us about it... and it was 107 something, or 101.7????
 
Sorry, I dont remember there being a Dance station in India. There are very few Top 40 stations as well. I'm only familiar with Radio Indigo, which broadcasts to Bangalore and Goa (they air Matt Darey's Nocturnal on the weekend), as well as Hit 95 in Delhi. Speaking of India, have you been following the news with all the terrorist bombings in Mumbai? :-[

Oh, and are you sure Beat 106.5 has been around for a couple of years in Monterrey? I was under the impression that this was a new station.
 
Yeah I think Beat 106.5 has been around awhile,,, Im almost positive this is the othe dance station in Mexico I found that didnt stream,,,, David Eduardo would know for sure....
