"See you in September!"

Does anyone else remember that annoying promo, when Brenda Wood made the switch from Ch. 5 to 11? Well, if you had forgotten about it, I apologize for reminding you!

Anyhoo: there's a promo on FOX5 for the new morning show. The promo features Jeff Hill and Karen Graham saying that something "Xtra" is coming to mornings on September 14th at 9am. FOX5 is pimping the new show on their facebook page:

http://www.facebook.com/fox5atlanta

I wonder how (if) this affects Karen and Jeff's current duties. Will Jeff continue to Good Day 5-9am and Noon in addition to this 9am show? Will Karen continue to anchor weekend sports? Surely, something has to give...

I remember "see you in September" only as an ABC promo
in the late '60s or early '70s: "See you in September. Think
of the fun it will be...on ABC."

J J, maybe that is why they brought back Bill Hartman. He might be doing weekend duty. In my opinion, Jeff could just add that extra time to his morning without bringing anyone else on board.

This is Good Day Atlanta...the new 9 AM hour. I suspect it will be called "Good Day Atlanta Xtra".

I don't know what Bill Hartman's contract with WSB was like, but it is interesting that he appeared on WAGA exactly one year after he left WSB. If he does take over weekend duties for Karen Graham, then I'd have to wonder if he really wanted to retire from WSB.

"Jeff remains a crucial team member of FOX 5 Morning News and Good Day Atlanta."

No mention of Karen still being weekend sports anchor. It looks like Bill or Buck will replace her.
