Damn, Channing, now you KNOW that can't be Scott for real.

Re: Sorry - you shouldn't have hit it at all

KPLXCOMPLEX - I knew that. I was indeed just being silly. Alice just posted and was all pissy and holier than thou. Implying that I don't count because I just chose to post yesterday.

I'm not Scott. He is posting under his own name and he sure doesn't need my help. Maybe Channing can help here? Do I write like Scott talks? Nah! I write like I'm my own person!

I don't work for "The Bone." I'm not even a Bone P1, P2 or P3. I just noticed that he gets beat up here a lot and wonder what all the ruckus was for ... and still no one has said what exactly he has done. Gesh ... answer the question.

Folks don't like him? Hey, I'm cool with that. I have a list a mile long of folks that I don't like, but 4-5 of the posters here just wear the subject out and only offer burning him at the stake as a solution. (And it's a felony here in the state of Texas.)

Who is a good radio company to work for? I'm trying to be a help here. Tell us who is good and we can all go there.

Where the hell is that Fitz dude when you need him? Where are the RMS posters? Why aren't we trying to solve world peace?

Re: Sorry - you shouldn't have hit it at all

Don't hate Susquehanna at all. I hate Scott Strong and his merry band of @$$kissers. It amazes me that anyone takes these recent posts by "Scott" et al, as being really from Scott. It certainly appears that it's not, and you are probably the same as the person posting as "Scott".

The Bone began life as a seriously good station, but that was when Bo was given free range, the playlist was coming from San Francisco, Channing was allowed to do her thing, etc... Then Scott started "managing". Once that began, everything swirled down the toilet. The more he managed, the worse things became. It's been in the septic tank ever since. Scott blamed the ratings drop on the talent, when it was this very same talent that was pulling in the big numbers PRIOR to Scott tweaking the playlist, managing the talent, and so on. Scott's blamed his failure on everyone but himself. How he's kept his job this long is a mystery worthy of Mulder and Scully.

Thanks Omen

Sounds like you were close to whatever happened over there. I appreciate you at least answering the question. You seem like a resonable enough guy. Let the hate go. Scott wins as long as you hate him. When you become apathetic ... that's when it becomes a non-issue for you and it is on his shoulders. Take care and just resolve not to give him one more minute of your time. You go and make great radio. That will be your best weapon.

Hearme: First off I am not JUDGE..Good grief will it never end on the silly "outting party"?
You are of course are welcome to say what you want. I don't own the board . Third, your attempt to turn the subject around from Scott to Alice or Myself shows how much the failure of The Bone has shaken you ..well. to the Bone. Your timing when SCOTT supposedly posted is questionable, and it was brought up. "Bully"?Good God,when one speaks up they are A bully in your eyes. Yeah I don't care for corporate radio, many stations suffered, still suffering, and many good well deserving talent have been chased out of broadcasting due to deregulation and consolidation. A newbie like yourself didn't have a chance to acquire an appreciation of radio when IT WAS RADIO. You didn't respond to the remark about you being affiliated with The Bone either.Wait a sec..you did,but is it believable?

Radi-Omen and gang it's a simple question

Radio-Omen, Edward R. Murrow and Alice it's funny how you like to muddle the waters when you don't want to answer a question. It's only fair that if you use this radio board to blast people that you stand up for who you are.
Let's make it simple for you three:

Radi-Omen, what's your real name?
Edward R. Murrow, what's your real name?
Alice The Cook, what's your real name?

This board has some good info and people who want to really know what's going on. You three want to blast people. No problem but wouldn't it be more informative to the whole board if they knew where these "expert opinions" were coming from.

And to make sure Radi-Omen, Edward R. Murrow and Alice The Cook can't use the excuse, "It's not the real Scott so I'm not going to use my real name", please
feel free to call me at 214-520-4315. It's easy to throw stones when nobody knows who you are.

Re: Sorry - you shouldn't have hit it at all

Keep readying. I answered the question. But I guess for the slow students I'll answer it again. Nope. Don't work for "The Bone."

I don't mind you disagreeing with me. It is your tone and delivery that have become tiresome!

Thoust do protest too much. I'm suppose to believe you aren't Judge/Jonathan and you don't believe Scott is posting and giving a phone number, which by the way I called, got Scott Strong's voice mail and promptly hung up. Just checking "Scott's" story. Seems like it really is him. Very bold. Now call him and take up your hateful dribble via the phone. Like a real man.

Now, if you would like to disagree civilally, I'm all for that. You play nice and I'll play nice. Or ... quit responding to me.

DUDE: Jonathon Hayes(Judge) is working very happily at KLUV where his talents, knowledge and personality is appreciated, unlike his sentence at The Bone.

Re: Thanks Omen

Strong,IMHO, is whats wrong with radio today: A one-hit wonder when it comes to programming who doesnt have a follow-up, yet is left in the pilots seat to fly the perverbial plane into the f-in mountain. I have nothing really against the other susquehanna nation(Wolf,Ticket,KLIF)formats, as they are ran by more competent managment/production staff. I do believe that Strong, with his "stuck in 1994 Matt Sharp/River Cuomo look" has dropped the ball when it came to hiring, retaining talent and programming at Merge and Bone. I can go into MANY examples of this, from Tim/Yvonne to Bo Roberts to making the station you own "f-ed up mix tape", but that isnt productive. Frankly, as a listener and former employee of the susquehanna nation, I think you stink at your job.

Wow, we all seemed to have assumed that this is really indeed Scott Strong. Even Mr. "Air Out Your Real Name on the Board" doesn't even list contact info, an email address, or anything on his bio section. I think I smell a rat~~and it's a STRONG smell. In fact, some of the word usage and grammar butchering almost wreaks of Bucky Balls. Almost.

By the way, this is Ron Chapman.

DUDE:You're the one who needs to 're-read" not only ed's post, but several posts here. His "civility" is no different than yours,it's his wording you disagreee with. Scott's phone number?WOW! Anyone who had associations with him most likely has it.To call and hang up BTW is rude;)On to Judge:You disagree with ed's statement about him and feel he is ed?? Judge would probably laugh out loud when he reads that.I chuckled myself.Do you know Judge? If so,you wouldn't have stated that accusation. To state that Scott is being bold is akin to saying OJ is still searching "for the real killers".Keep listening to The Bone, they need a listener.

Re: Sorry - you shouldn't have hit it at all

Maybe this is all just damage control to make sure Scott, Jeff and company can still get jobs in the market in a few weeks when things come down, and they don't want their well-earned, established "reputations" following them. Funny thing is, them responding to all this just makes them all look worse. Now EVERYONE is taking an opportunity to tell how badly those stations have been programmed and (mis)managed.

> > Keep readying. I answered the question. But I guess for

"Don't work for 'The Bone'"? Can you make that a little more possessive, and include the whole company in your statement? Nah, you wouldn't tell the truth anyway. You'll keep beating a dead horse in the name of Perception Management. Advice: List the house immediately. Tell the kiddoes there won't be a Christmas until Daddy finds another job. Tell the wife to turn over all her credit cards to you. And if anyone sees any sturdy boxes while they're out and about, tell them to grab 'em.

The station managers in this town are going to have a field day in a few weeks: "Guess who's resume I got today? You won't believe this moron!!" Or, "Look at this, Jeff Kovarsky sent over a tape and said he'll take a job in sales if all else fails!!" Or perhaps, "Hee hee hee... look at this idiot's salary expectations!!" And definitely, "Look at this list of references!! No one in radio. He even put his dentist's name on there."

(This isn't aimed at you, Complex, just a response to the blather that was listed before your response!!)

Re: Sorry - you shouldn't have hit it at all

Alice (yeah you in the hair net) - shut your piehole. You have added nothing. I could tell you where I work (and don't work), but why waste the space. You are only going to say I'm lying. You sure don't know how to play nice. Just not in you I guess. You are a terrible judge of character. I don't lie.

KPLXCOMPLEX - ditto. As for being rude by calling and hanging up ... he didn't answer nimrod. He won't know I hung up on his voice mail until he reads this (gesh).

Why don't you knuckleheads quit giving Scott so much power over your lives and move on? It takes much more to hold onto your anger at anyone than to just let it go and move on.

Hey, if you move on ... then you won't be worried about what Scott, Susquehana, The Bone or anyone else you dislike is doing and it will free up a whole bunch of time for you to submit resumes. Or hone your craft.

Is Judge/Jonathon/edwardmurrow really happy over there? Very interesting that you seem to know so much about that situation. That's not what I hear. Maybe he'll post in his "real" name and tell the group.

You can't be Ron Chapman ... I'm Ron Chapman.

DUDE: Quit peeing in your beer and calling it Corona. Nimrod? You're creativity level qualifies you to be a "bonehead", congratulations are in order. Judge is not erm,or anyone you have a convuluted conflict with. I know about "that situation" very well because I stay connected. In your short circuited evaluation, you come up(for lack of an appropriate word)"short". It's friday,so you may go with Jeff and party in Oaklawn.

Nice to meet you again! Now explain why you didn't just take 360 north to 183 to 161 over to LBJ and avoided going through Downtown to get from Memories to ABC Radio. Waste of gas and cost us all a cherished and valued life.

Not to make light of that situation, but I'll never figure that part out. If nothing else, we all could have been saved from that debacle known as "The Twister." "Memories" would be alive and well today. Becky and Gary wouldn't be schlepping at KVIL. Martha would still be in Dallas. Randy wouldn't be doing traffic. Tyler might have stayed instead of replacing Michael Spears. Spears might still be alive if he had health insurance. My, how one person impacts a whole group.

You are missed.

Ralph......um, Ron

Blame it on Belo. If the Zoo hadn't been sold and turned into crap, then Rody and LaBella would have continued on.
