Seeking 7-11 radio commercials from 1967

Southland Corporation based in Texas issued Y.Y. Wickie Slurp reports,
those zany AM radio commercials, in 1965 and 1966. In the Summer of 1967
they issued radio spots using the word "slurpee" for the first time.
These commercials utilized a kazoo for sound effects.
Somebody somewhere must have these darn things in audio format.
DJ Steve Eberhart was gracious enough to send me the ones from
1965 and 1966. I assume the spots in 1967 were issued to radio stations
on a 45 rpm or LP. (This is NOT the 45 promo issued in 7-11 stores
with "Dance the Slurp")
Does anybody out there have these audio files? Will trade or pay your price.

Try this guy; he has a ton of those, and produced quite a few himself for Southland back in the 1960s. He was going to release some on DVD and CD, but Southland stepped in and tried to sue...so I don't know how interested he is in letting them out now in light of that...but try anyway:

Thanks Mike, but I did already contact Gordon. He started working there several years later and didn't
have them or know of anybody I could contact. I wrote to 7-11 and they said they were 'glad' to inform me
those great commercials were not 'lost', they have them in their vaults, BUT, they are unable to issue them
to any entity or individual due to rights having expired and new negotiations would be required.
They sent me 2 free slurpee coupons instead. If I was still 10 years old, that might have made me feel better.
Yes, I have read that Frank Harting passed away several years ago. I thought about contacting his family
whom I would suspect might have the commercials and be glad that somebody still wants to hear them.
I would if he were my Father. I checked the phone books and surprisingly there are quite a few Hartings,
so I didn't feel comfortable proceeding in that direction.

I do have a copy of the 'dirty' 7/11 commercials from the early 70's. They are on a cart, and I have no way of dubbing them off. Hmmm. Someone is bound to have an old cart machine around, right???

Apparently quite a number of people still have them, since it's somewhat active topic over in the engineering board.

You can usually find used machines on E-Bay.
