seeking advice

There's a WWE pay-per-view wrestling event at the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Sunday. One of the local radio stations is sponsoring it.

I'm a part of a local outreach committee that provides various services for the poor and least privileged of Rhode Island.

One of the fathers and young sons that we work with really want to go to the wrestling event. They can't possibly afford to buy the tickets and since the monetary funds of our committee are quickly dwindling, it's hard for us to buy them for the father and son.

I contacted the promotions department of the station that is sponsoring the event, and was told they're all out of tickets. I contacted the Dunkin' Donuts Center administrative office and was told they aren't able to give away tickets. I'd really like to provide the tickets to this father and son (it's really a sad case, believe me) but I don't know what to do. Any suggestions on where I might get tickets, or who I can contact? I contacted the WWE and was told they don't give away tickets for pay-per-view events. Do any of you know of anyone who can help with something like this?

HJY is giving them away on their website. You have to register to win.

Thank You. I've been trying that every day but haven't won.
I wonder how many pairs of tickets they actually have in their possession to give away.

Well since you know HJY has tickets and they are giving them away anyway, I would contact them by phone and hope that they have a heart. Maybe they will throw you a couple since it is a special circumstance. It's worth a shot.

Thanks for the replies. I called the WWE and they said they don't give away tickets for pay-per-view events.
I also called the Promotions Dept. at WHJY and the young woman I spoke with told me they're all out of tickets.
Do any of you know the Program Director?? Also, Cox Communications is a sponsor for this event. I wonder if they'd have tickets.

Shawn,
Hate to say it; but at the 11th hour, things look grim. My friend Rich used to work for WWE and I couldn't get freebies (he has since moved on to UFC). Try contacting Cox tomorrow first thing; but they have probably already given out their tix.
