Seeking Help With ZaraRadio, Edcast Plugin and Metadata.

Hello all.

It's been a while since I've been on these boards, so I am hoping I am posting my inquiry in the right area.

I am launching a new internet radio station soon, and I need to have the metadata display on my stream's page to comply with music licensing. I've done internet radio before, and I was using a method which worked very well for me, as I am sight impaired and rely on both a screen reader and screen magnification software to be able to operate a computer and navigate the internet. The method I was using/would like to use for the new venture is as follows:

For automation, I am using ZaraRadio version 1.62.
To connect to the Shoutcast server, I am using The Edcast DSP Plugin and Winamp. (Yes, I know this is probably considered an obsolete way of doing it, but, I need to use what works best for my speech and screen reading programs, and this does).

I have had no problem getting the audio from Zara to play thru Edcast and out to the server. What I AM having a problem with, is getting the metadata from the tags in files played by Zara to show up in the metadata window of Edcast, and thus out on to my stream's webpage.

I have followed the instructions in Zara, and have enabled the software to read ID3 tags. I have created a "currentsong" text file, and saved it to the same directory as the Zara software. I also went into Edcast and selected the "from file" option regarding getting metadata. I then made sure that address of the currentsong file was correct in Edcast. So, everything appears to be as it should. However, when I play a tagged file in Zara, absolutely nothing shows up in the metadata of Edcast. (I have the interval set to every 10 seconds for updating metadata in Edcast). Another thing, when I noticed the metadata from Zara was not showing up, I wanted to be sure that Edcast was capable of fetching text from the currentsong file. So, I opened the currentsong file using Notepad, and I typed in text manually. Within seconds, that which I typed showed up in the Edcast metadata window. This tells me that whatever is wrong is probably in Zara, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Can someone with knowledge of Zara and Edcast please give me some idea as to what might be wrong here? What setting(s) do I need to change and where do I find them?

Thanks in advance.
