Refurbishing a HT-20 and need S/S IPA, output circa 500 watts, power 48-52 VDC
input. Please check your spares cabinet. All I ask is that it works...Thanks...JBI
and hopefully, has the heat sink, but not mandatory...
Couple of years ago, I had an FM25K's IPA go tango uniform on me. Dropped an outboard Nicom 500 watt amplifier in the rack next to the transmitter and we were off an running again.
Whatever you do, DON'T buy one from Harras. They'll hang it to you big time. I had an incedent several years ago on a HT5 were the tech support guy thought our IPA was bad. Turns out it was the power supply to it. They hung me for a huge return fee and shipping costs. If I had to do it again, I'd just bypass the damn thing as a test and temp fix until I found another replacement part.
By the way, that incedent and several others with that company will influence my buying of a couple transmitters soon. Got me may turn it to got them soon. Ain't life a bitch?

Had a similar thing happen to me about a year and a half ago with a high dollar blower followed by them sending us the wrong controller board and expecting us to pay for the expedited shipping. The end result was that Harris business practices closed the deal on a new Nautel my client purchased a few weeks later. He was on the fence since he only knew about Harris but now wouldn't even consider one. They really need to revisit their support policies.
I believe Silicon Valley noted above is the OEM of the Harris part. PTEK also makes a replacement as the president there was the original designer at the old MMD company that had made the originals.
