Selector Question...

Does anyone know where I can download maybe a demo version of selector to learn how to you use it. My PD wont show me how to use it and I want to learn.

From the Selector FAQ page http://www.rcsworks.com/en/products/selector/faq.aspx

Selector is not provided to individuals, only to qualified broadcast entities or consultants.

Free trial copies of Selector (a complete, working program) are available as well. To learn if you qualify, just contact us http://www.rcsworks.com/en/company/contact.aspx and an RCS Sales rep from your region will contact you directly and quickly.

However, many stations authorize their programmers for additional copies of Selector for use from home, laptops or elsewhere, so you could certainly learn on your own in that manner.

I would skip learning Selector and start learning MusicMaster. To their credit, they offer online webinars that help teach you how to use their windows-based music scheduler.

Selector's main product is still their DOS based music scheduler. DOS has gone the way of the dodo bird, of course, but...PD's still cling to it, refusing to adapt to windows. That said, the better windows-based music scheduler IS MusicMaster. Just one man's opinion, FWIW.

That's a bit of a stretch isn't it? Selector has been a Windoze product for years. Just because some PDs may "still cling to" the DOS version is not RCS's fault.

It is if their windows based music scheduler scared the pants off of most PD's when it first came out!! Isn't it?!?
