"Self Esteem" by The Offspring - AC? Hardly.

95.7 WLHT in Grand Rapids, Michigan is an AC (borderline Hot AC) station that plays a weird mix of current hits, a LOT of '80s songs, and some '90s songs thrown in too. I noticed the other day that it was playing "Self EsteeM" by The Offspring...a classic '90s alternative song.

How can this be considered an AC song?

This station is really a Hot A/C now, with its sister River having become a more mainstream version of the format. So I guess in that context the song is ok.

It's true 95.7 LHT is leaning more toward Hot AC but hearing they played the Offspring is still a shock to me. Although their sister station recently went from Alternative to Active Rock so it is possible they are trying to appease the older/softer contingent of said sister station's audience. I hope they never go so far as to play Korn though.
