Senior Radio 1670 AM - Edison, NJ

Edison, NJ's "Senior Radio" is back again, this time on 1670 kHz, playing mostly '40s and '50s Big Band and Adult Standards music. The signal is audible along I-287 all the way from Exit 8 down to the NJ Turnpike interchange, although it suffers lots of sideband splatter from 1660 WWRU. So either this is extraordinary coverage from 100 mW into a 10-foot antenna, or "Senior Radio" is not FCC Part 15-compliant.

What area is it trying to serve?

Probably senior citizens in a nursing home somewhere. Very, very low on the FCC's to-do-list.
