Sept 2013 PPMs.

WNCI and WCOL holding up at the top .. WODC still holding steady..

CKX is rebounding which is interesting -- I wonder if any of the recent changes are helping them?

Most of the rock type stations seen some drop (except CGX) .. Not a good month for rock.

Jack FM still climbing -- Not surprised.. I expect we'll see it over 1 in the next book.

K95.5 @ 107.1 keeps climbing -- I could be wrong but I think that's the best share I have seen on that signal in a long time.

WTVN got a football bounce of .3. Sad to see the Giant hurting.

I'm rooting for Jack, but I wonder if they might be held back some by two factors: Rewind and the fact that they are programming from a national list. Rewind sounds better than ever for the last several months (sure wish we could see their ratings), and has plenty of musical overlap with Jack. Being in a "Rewind Sandwich" on the dial could make the Saga stations even more of a challenge.

Also, while Jack sounds good it seems more musically conservative than during its last days under R1, when it was really starting to gain momentum just before they sold it to Salem. At least Jack is finally adding a few localized Jackisms (other than the "we're back!" stuff we've heard since they debuted on 103.9).

EDIT: As if to demonstrate my point, Rewind just segued from Janet Jackson's 'What Have You Done For Me Lately" to Long View (!) by Green Day. That may be an extreme example (unless Rewind is starting to tweak even further into Adult Hits), but regardless it's a case of out-Jacking the national list Jack, and chipping away at Jack's musical premise/position. Jack does play more 90's -- and even 00's and recurrent -- music than Rewind (maybe 33% for Jack?), although Rewind plays a lot more 90s/early 00s than it used to.
