SEPT San Antonio PPMs

Wow- country is KING! KJ and Y-100 riding high... Props to KTFM for sticking to their guns in the midst of the BMP dismantling. Is the panel reacting favorably to KISS? What are they doing diff?

What happened to the Beat? How will K289BN (105.7 Wild simulcast) show up? I know KRPT's impact since COL remains Devine.

Sorry so much questions- Makes the landscape interesting.

Don't let the 6+ numbers fool you. KTFM, The Beat and Mix are riding high in the latest PPM's.

See below:
1. KSMG 10.4
2. KTFM, 10.0 t
3. KBBT, 10.0 t
4. KAJA, 10.0 t
5. KXXM, 10.0 t
6. KCYY 9.1
7. KJXK 5.0
8. KISS 4.6
9. KROM 4.1
10. KGSX 4.1

Despite what their tag says, The Beat has more dance/electro pop tracks then ever before and the numbers are showing a positive response. CC should tweak Wild and lean more dance than Hip Hop.

Or Univision can take Radio H20 off of KBBT HD2, run an urban hip-hop format on that channel, and just flip KBBT to dance / pop.

Not 6+, it's 12+ overall... Unless radio-online goofed

Still awaiting KISS' lift answer

I failed to mention on my previous post that those numbers are for women 18-34.

A little surprised that KSMG aka Magic is doing so well in that demo.

I am enjoying Magic's fresh coat of paint on imaging and playlist flirting with the absolute new Hot AC releases. IMO they have the ingredients to play in that W 18-34.. KONO is also capturing generation X more and more. just overall presentation is great.

Is anybody else having reception/penetration issues lately with Mix?

In PPM markets, the "freebee" numbers from Arbitron are 6+.

Even the Radio Online site you mention says :

"This profile contains an quarter hour share (AQH) rating -- the average number of persons, ages 6+, who listened during any average quarter hour from 6am to midnight, Monday through Sunday in the Metro Survey Area."

Radio H20 is Dance/Pop.

Back to SA- Looks like Wild has tweaked it's a format a bit. Now hearing less Hip Hop and more Dance/Electro Pop. Currently, listening to the Dance Remix of Lights by Ellie Goulding. IMO, good move on Wild's part. This should take numbers from both KTFM and The Beat.

Where did you get that info? because when I checked the PPM's for Sept. It showed different numbers.

Showed KONO and KXXM tied at 6.3 #3 and #4 place. KSMG at #7. In 1992, KCYY was #1, followed by KTFM at #2, KONO was #3, and KSMG was #8.

Kind of makes me wonder if KTFM should move their stick back to 102.7?

As I stated earlier in this thread, the PPM's I posted are Women 18-34.

Now why would KTFM move back to 102.7 if they are #2 in their target demo?

You suggest swapping sticks with Jack? A billing constant and programming turnkey in the midst of BMP dismantling... Not 100% that KTFM moving back to 102.7 is favorable in this climate. As we know, 1027 is one of the most (if not THE) best city-grade with beautiful processing. Who's making cluster decisions or individual station recomendations right now for these properties?

LOL, 102.7 does not equal beautiful processing. Sounds very distorted. :p

That is because they need to either 1. Adjust the volume, and/or 2. Adjust the EQ. Question is: Do they care?
