September 11th 2001 Were you on the air?

Is there anyone here who was on the air on September 11th 2001? If so I'd like to know what you were thinking on that day. How did it affect what you did on the radio that day?

Doing the Morning Show at Lite 102.9. Once the tragedy occurred, my partner and I kept giving updates till around 11 or noon.
It was a surreal feeling. Couldn't believe that it has really happened and that we were reporting on something that would change all of our lives.

I left radio 5 months before 9/11. For the first time in 18 years I was not on the air. I was teaching school and felt so helpless all day, looking for a computer to find out what was going on and not being able to report the biggest story in my lifetime.
