September 15th in CT Radio History

It was September 15, 2003 when Modern Rock Radio 104 flipped to Hip-Hop Power 104-1. I missed hearing the launch. I was shocked because I had been listening to Radio 104 only hours before the flipped. (Can't find the story in FYBUSH.COM)

Also September 15, 2000 was the day El Principe Communications had to vacate themselves from Southington's 990 AM (then WNTY). The Court order said they had to be off-the-air by Midnight. They signed off at 930PM. Sometime later that evening someone went to the station and destroyed some equipment, causing the station to remain dark until October 1. While the newspaper article says no one knows for sure who destroyed the equipment, I knew a couple people who worked for El Principe and and they told me it was the people from El Principe who destoyed the station.
