Not to be promo..Freedom Fest 2006 at the field next to Southside Baptist Church in Warner Robins will have Casting Crowns and other artists, plus a live American Family Radio Broadcast from there. WRPG 103-9 The Patriot, WGMN-TV 64 and The Hook are sponsoring this, too. Best of all, it is a free event with Christian and Secular Stations working together to promote this...No exclusive here nor using this to promote the station, only honoring those who really deserve it. And yes, WRPG plans on being live from the event.

Also, in Hawkinsville, Gene Watson is doing a show at the Old Opera House. It starts a year long celebration in Hawkinsville for the Old Opera House's 100th Birthday in 2007. The city is also celebrating the return of WCEH in a big way, with a special event before the concert to honor "Jolly" Charlie Hill, who spent many a morning waking up the Midstate on WCEH. He retired in 1995, but has been one of the biggest supporters of the new WCEH (Real Country 610). If you ever graced the WCEH studio or wished you did, come be a part of this special night. All are welcome.
I know several people could tell stories about the original WCEH and want it meant to Hawkinsville, Cochran, Eastman, Perry and surrounding areas since 1952. A few of those stories, I'm sure, will be told that night. It's good to do radio again...in Hawkinsville...the only city of it's size to have three radio stations.
