September "Cry For You"...new music on Pulse 87?

nd2023

Banned
I was listening to Pulse 87 tonight, and they announced that Cry For You is "new music". I heard it 5 months ago on a CHR in Tampa, and over a year ago on many dance-formatted stations. It's one thing for a CHR to announce an old dance song as "new music", but the listeners of Pulse 87 already know that Cry For You is old. I wish they would play September's latest song "Looking For Love" on Pulse.
At least Pulse is playing dance music that was never heard in New York since KTU turned into the Donna Summer jukebox. And KTU stopped calling itself "New York's Dance Music Leader"

Once again, it's new music if it's never been played in the market. We are still promoting this record, especially after B96 in Chicago put it into rotation last week.

The new video & success in the UK (#5 on the pop charts 2 weeks in a row out of the box) have given this song a new life.

PS - KTU added Jenna Drey this week and the "Donna Summer Jukebox" had it's biggest ratings (3.0) in a long time in the most recent book.

You are looking at things as a dance fan. Does the average person know who September is? Not at all. Its new to the airwaves of Pulse. Settle down

Thats not the new single for September. They havent even released the new single officially. My guess is they are going to hold back because of the push of Cry For You to Top 40.

you tell em,JP!

I recently gave a thought regarding David Guetta's "Love Is Gone".

Once again...glad that a dance record is getting CHR airplay. And being that this directly involves JP, special congrats to you! :)

I'll abbreviate what I said over at the David Guetta thread...if I am giving a dance fan too much credit on something, then I will be the first to shut up and "settle down".

Well, September's label launched stateside her album, including her biggest stuff overseas.. It's simply called "September". Hopefully this will push her album sales.
