September PPM's

WDAS remains at the top, losing a mere 0.1. Most of the stations in the book were hella stable, with few exceptions.
  • WPPZ jumped a full point to 4.1, landing them at 7th place. Off the top of my head, I don’t recall having seem them crack a 4 share before. But, the top of my head is often unreliable.
  • WUSL gained more than half-a-point (3.6 – 3.3 – 3.9).
  • BEN-FM lost more than half-a-point (3.8 – 3.7 – 3.1).
  • Q102 (1.8 – 2.1 – 2.5) is back in form, but they’re tied with former nemesis WTDY. Can’t help but think that, in the absence of TDY, Q102 could be in the top 10.
  • WPHT continues doing gangbusters (2.8 – 2.8 – 2.1). Yes, that was sarcasm.

More excitement about the meaningless 6+ numbers.

I suppose this is another place I will have to post the demo breakouts from Research Director when they post them tomorrow.

Rumba > Alt

Oh, let the meltdowns begin
Let's keep in mind that Rumba is really the "only" sales player for the Hispanic market. And Hispanic ad budgets are generally independent of the general market, right down to separate creative. I'm guessing that they are quite happy with the results of Rumba.

Of course. We’ve said as much. It was a remark about a frequent response to both Rumba’s existence and alternative music.

Technically you can’t combine them but WIP would be #1 if you combined their radio and streaming numbers.

Since I am told some people are annoyed by my posting the demo numbers, here is a link to Research Director for those that want to see them, and the rest of you can blissfully ignore me.
