Phoenix "Serial Shooter" Suspect Hosted Radio Show
One of the two men accused of being PHOENIX' "Serial Shooter" hosted a radio show on a brokered talk station in the market.

The PHOENIX BUSINESS JOURNAL reports that DALE HAUSNER, who has been arrested along with roommate SAMUEL DIETEMAN on two counts each of murder and 14 counts each of attempted first degree murder, leased an hour on MONDAY nights in late 2002 and early 2003 on KFNX-A/PHOENIX for a boxing talk show called "Fist City." HAUSNER, a photographer and former PHOENIX city employee, and DIETEMAN are charged with taking turns randomly shooting at least 24 people, with 7 dead and 17 wounded.

Wow. I thought KFNX had higher standards than that... ::)

How quickly you forget the Rick Bloom Show (not that it's hard to forget something so memorable)...

Or the neo-Nazi National Alliance. Or the f-bomb-artist who used to post on this board.

People don't generally use the words "standards" and "KFNX" in the same sentence.

I really hope that my "higherstandards" post was dripping with sarcasm as obviously as intended. ???

KNFX is such a complete and total waste of broadcasting power, run by inbred hyenas with switchblades.

They had a brief shot at some kind of legitimacy, but got cold feet, started playing Tammy Bruce(?) and then gave up all together (save for John "hack, cough" Dayl and became the green tea en ema station.

Why does this not surprise me?

"Coming next week on KFNX, its "The Baseline Rapist Show!" ;D

Nice to be known for this.. Remember that New Times article about that other guy who had committed all kinds of fraud - Tom Avila? If I wasn't convinced Battaglia was too stupid, I'd say he masterminded at least one of the two for publicity!

Leibo talked about this tonite, didn't mention the call letters or frequency, but noted that, for a GM in the radio business to be thought of as the worst scumbag, you gotta be pretty bad!

wow, this board filters out sc umbag?

Next thing you know, it will filter out "monster."

But that can be a good thing--at least it'll keep
Mayor Phil off of the board. ;D

he is a suspect and has not been convicted....and just because someone is a mass murderer does not mean they cant have a radio show

He DOES have a point. By all accounts (SO FAR), it would seem that Hausner, although he had a few issues with his significant others, showed no real red flags that he was capable of murder.

So there's no reason why he shouldn't have been able to buy time to do his show.

"Fist City" huh, sounds like the host had a size problem. Or no penis at all.

True dat.

I took this posting as being a joke, poking fun at KFNX. I am sure if the Suspected Serial Shooter (SSS) raised flags, KFNX wouldn't have put him on the air.

Nope its no joke...he did have a show on kfnx..and a cable access show on ch 22. And from the way he talked during his "press conference"...this dude not only had to be putting red flags up for years..but flashing lights and big buzzer that said "DANGER DANGER"
