Missed the last 3 minutes of the Bruins game to attend a 9:45 movie in Kendall Square tonight. I returned to my car, and immediately turned on WEEI. I listened for 12 minutes on my drive from the theater back to my house. At no point was there any mention of the Bruins' thrilling victory. Instead, 12 straight minutes of Sox talk with John Risch.
Two things, WEEI:
1) Radio may be a dying business, but it's still good for one thing: car listenership. I don't have NESN in my car. I don't have the Internet in my car. It's up to you to tell me the outcomes of the Sox and Bruins games in a timely manner. I don't need to hear a flash, but at the very least, I expect your host, between callers, to say "Bruins win 5-4, Sox win 5-3" before introducing the next caller.
2) John Risch, stop being such a sanctimonious prick. I cringed too when the caller tried to compare the Sox' catching situation to the Iraq War. That's not a reason to cut him off.
This is why I don't generally listen to WEEI.
