Seriously, WEEI?

Uh-huh. When YOU say it, it's constructive criticism. When SOMEONE ELSE acts exactly the same way, they're a "sanctimonious prick." We get it now.

Yeah it was the postgame show you were hearing, which I assume goes to all affiliates, which spread as far as Wyoming. So they need to keep the show all baseball til the national programming is done I assume. When they break to a flash they can do the local updates since the affiliates air what they want at that time. I can see if you listened for 30-40 min and caught a flash and STILL didn't get an update, but just the fact that he didn't bring it up in 12 min of normal callers on a baseball show isn't something to get upset about.

You are correct. There is no reason to mention the Bruins in a Red Sox postgame show that many, if not all, of the affiliates are carrying. Do people in Hartford, let alone Florida, really care about the Bruins score?

Also, the Bruins are on a competing channel. Yes, WEEI is a sports station, but at that time, with both games over, why would WEEI even put into the listener's head to switch over to the Bruins postgame show?

Lastly, they did a great job of keeping the listeners updated DURING the game. I heard most of the game on my ride from Westfield to Haverhill and was kept abreast of all hockey-related happenings at North Station.
You are wrong. Sox Talk is only sent to affiliated during a rain delay. the Post game Sox talk is WEEI network exclusive. No other station carries it(for that matter, even if they wanted to, it more than likely isn't sent down the sat channel.)

As for the original complaint in this topic, you yourself said radio is dieing. Why is it dieing? Because there are other types of media availible, up to and including LIVE score updates via cell phone text message. Quit complaining and catch a later show.

Setting aside the "WEEI hate hockey" thing for a second...isn't this akin to listening to WBCN for 10 minutes, not hearing the new Linkin Park song during that 10 minutes, and whining about it? You listened to ten minutes of a program called SOX TALK and you wonder why there was no mention of the Bruins? I know the B's won a huge game 6 on Saturday but the Red Sox also won in exciting come-from-behind fashion themselves. It's not as though they were talking Sox in February when the B's had won their 15th in a row or something. Red Sox talk on a show called SOX TALK immediately following an exciting Red Sox win should hardly surprise anyone on a station that broadcasts Sox games.

And another thing...if you were such a B's fan to need to know the score within the 12 minute drive home from the cinema, why didn't you skip the first few minutes of that 9:45 show and WATCH THE LAST THREE MINUTES OF THE GAME!? Some fan...can't miss the coming attractions!

Actually, I'm in a very good mood. I just concluded my 2 1/2 hour workday, and now I'm going to drink and shoot pool until closing time.

Oh how I wish I was you. They must pay you top dollar to host those Karoke contests.
You must b good for atleast 15 or 20k a year.

btw there were situations when the Celts would get bumped to WRKO because WEEI had the Sox on
Wed night baseball. Tonight however the Green team is on 'EEI for a playoff tilt and the Sox are on 'RKO
('EEI has the Sox tomorrow afternoon, though)

"Your ONLY home for RED SOX BASEBALL! Sportsradio850, WEEI "--Cutler-voiced liner...WRKO is actually
flagship of course while 'EEI gets some games. And sometimes sports are bumped to 680,
in effect creating 'WEEI-2'

It's not strange. It's the playoffs. They bumped the game to another signal.

And officially, when they made the deal to move the sox to 'RKO they said it would be known as the WEEI/WRKO Red Sox Network. They for whatever reason don't call it that during the games now they just say the one it happens to be on that night, but they are both basically part of the network. Especially when you consider even when it's on WRKO it's usually still on 105.5, 103.7, 1440, etc which are all branded as WEEI basically.
