[2] Hypothetically, how much would it cost, to approach (xm) or
sirrus-radio, to launch, your own..station ( say for a three year period).

*No, i Don't have the $$$, but this is a friendly message board,
which welcomes this kind of inquiry, so i ask - does any one
have a fine-tuned, estimate of the cost(finalized) for a
36-month run??

Completely impossible, and out of the hands of anyone on the board. It dont matter how much money you have, its who you know, and how long you have done it. I dont think anyone could write a Million dollar check, and get a channel on Sirius, or xm, unless your famous, like Howard and Martha. Can you imagine if I had my own dance channel on Sirius, It would kick azz, or Maybe (Wired Radio) actually has a nice ring to it, for a dance or Alternative station. But not in a million years,,,, or dollars...

The Remix 62 channel being dropped has A LOT of people outraged with Sirius. On the siriusbackstage site, there are LOTS of people that are VERY angry about this. I'm one of them. It's the best channel they have going and they've made so many recent additions/improvements to it. What floors everyone else too is that they're keeping a channel like Boombox 61 around that plays mostly old-school hip-hop and they're calling this a dance channel. There have been so many requests for Boombox to be dropped or moved to the hip-hop category. I guess sirius has no clue, doesn't care, or doesn't listen to its customers...sad!
