Dang...that one hurts. We worked together a long time.
 
I'm not a big listener of R&B outlets, but even I remember Solis back in the day on KJMZ 100.3 and 107.5 before that. So, that's quite a run he had.

Yeah I Remember Keith on KNOK. KNOK was my station 50 years ago. Dewayne Dancer and Scott West become mentors to me when I started in this market.

The voice I miss is Hollywood Henderson. He was a nice man, Hollywood brought many fine people in the industry by being himself. Cultures were different for some of us but, mad respect for him.

Hollywood tied together to community and any man that can bring people together is good people.

Salemjedi54, I am in my upper 50's , was a big KEGL & KJMZ fan back in the day, I am guessing we are near the same age and probably broke in about the same time in the late eighties on different sides of the dial. My weekends at work were listening to Soul73. I am still happy to have worked with a diversified group of broadcasters and respect and love everyone of us.

Cheers and I enjoy your side a lot, I love that we can talk about radio of all kinds and there are few of us older ones here too.

So it looks like they are keeping 2 Urbans and 1 Urban AC. I wonder if they will move The Beat to 105.7 and KRNB to 97.9???
