set off relays to a switcher with barix

I am broadcasting over the net using barix audio over dsl.

I need to know what is needed to set off the relay on the station end.

can a tone be sent or what?

i have all the rest set up and working well, but in the automation software i need to know what i can use to set the relay off to play the commercial at the stations.

like abc does then send a relay command to start a commecial stop set.
 
You can use subaudible (25 and 35 Hz) audio tones to trigger a tone decoder on the other end. or you can wait for the new firmware for the Barix EX 1000 (should be out by NAB).
