Several TV station sales involving Raycom, Sinclair, Landmark, others

This was a big past few days for station sales. In addition to the WTVJ deal, several others were announced.

WTVR Richmond was sold to Sinclair. Raycom had to sell the station when they acquired WWBT from Lincoln Financial. Sinclar will have to sell WRLH to a holdings group, but will continue to operate the station under an LMA.

WTVF Nashville was sold to Bonten Media Group. This comes after Landmark sold The Weather Channel. No word on Landmark's other station, KLAS Las Vegas.

Oak Hill (a.k.a. Local TV) has consumed the deal involving the eight (now former) Fox O&O's.

Hoak Media has consumed the deal involving WMBB Panama City and KALB Alexandria, which were acquired from Media General.

"Bonten operates 16 full-power, low-power and digital-TV stations in eight markets. The company is a partnership between private-equity outfit Diamond Castle Holdings and Randall D. (Randy) Bongarten, a veteran broadcasting executive and former president of Emmis Television."
