Severe Weather Coverage

So, who fulfilled the their license obligations over the weekend and covered the severe weather, and who phoned it in?

Surprisingly, Clear Channel kicked @$$ w/ live mornings on 94.5 & 104.1 Saturday morning (maybe 99.5, but I'm not sure). 101 didn't do anything until later. Just ran infomercials in the morning. WSJS faked it. I don't know about 94.1 or the Dick stations, but I wouldn't suspect much out of them. Don't know about the Entercom stations

Congrats Clear Channel. And we learned what that we didn't already know Friday night or by doing what comes natural......TV, since we couldn't really go anywhere. Maybe, just maybe everybody else missed the boat on this?

I heard 94. 5 do a very good job Saturday morning then completely collapse to "Best of" after Flynn and Co. went off the air. 101.1 did have some garbage on early then went to coverage with Brad, Britt and Randy Jackson while 94.5 was in syndication. It was like the two stations made some kind of deal between them. I would say it was a dead heat between the two triad talk FM's with a slight edge to 101.1 for Randy Jackson's credibility.

In the triangle it wasn't even close. To my ear WPTF topped them all but I didn't hear WRAL-FM.

Jackson is the best, but they never promote him like they should. At least those 2 chucklehounds are smart enough to shut up and give him some space when something like this happens. They're that smart, at least.

This is *not* an effort to take this discussion off-topic, but I was really surprised to see all three Triad TV stations with news departments in regular programming (some of it infomercials) during the mid-day hours on Saturday.

It surely could have been a victory for one of them.
