Severin back....ignores the Imus flap....

I happen to be near a radio today when Jay Severin came back from vacation today.

It appears he is going to ignore the whole Imus flap, even though it was all over the papers.

(Oops..he did make a backhanded comment about "I'm here, cuz he's a bad shot...")

Jay is quickly becoming irrelevant. Too much vacation time. How can 'TKK allow him so much time away from the show? No offense to Michael Graham, but if I listen to him in the morning, I don't want to listen to him again filling in for Jay. It's gotten to the point where I forget to tune in to 'TKK at 3pm.

The funniest thing was when he tried to pass himself off as a swingin' single despite being married and with a daughter. When a caller asked how his wife Renee was doing (shortly after the start of his syndie show),
Jay said, "I don't know who you're talking about" in a very...annoyed...voice. Later he did admit to a Globe-Democrat interviewer that yes, he was married, had a child, and used to do show from his manse in Long Island.

So Severin believes that the image he presents his public with is the one we'll buy? In this day and age of 360-degree media scrutiny and coverage? Severin builds his own 'self-image' that runs counter to so many other portrayals. Does Severin somehow think we wave off all that other stuff and buy our groceries only from him? How naive.
