Of course, it's NOT a power down but a pattern switch for the DA array; smaller footprint. I suspect that WXKS-AM's COL is Newton and not Boston, because some neighborhoods (Eastie and Chahlestown) don't quite receive a reliable signal late at night in the wintah. I wonder if Vacay will mimic Howie anbd bemoan the loss of coverage at sunset.
