SEVERIN RETURNS

@PL13

All I'm saying is that local works best around there parts. I'm not saying whether I like or hate him. All I'm saying is that he would pull in better ratings in that time slot than

Hannity. I think Severin would pull in better ratings in the 3-6 time slot in Providence, Worcester, Springfield, Manchester and put Hannity on 6-9, and Savage 9-12.

Or Savage 6-9 and Hannity 9-12.

It would sure make sense for CC to maximize its investment by farming out Severin to its other New England stations. Down here along the South Coast / RI....we could certainly use another non-sports alternative to "Hizzoner - Da - Mayor"...Buddy Cianci on the soon-to-be Cumulus 630 WPRO.

He's on a terrible signal. Does anyone think he can actually succeed? All you have to do is listen to the callers to AM; they're all grandparents or great-grandparents (and I'm 43). I only listen out of curiosity on occasion, but I'm not a regular listener. His contract must reflect the numbers he probably will pull in.

In some areas yes but I was driving here on the North Shore today and it was fine. But it prob will appeal to middle aged and older listeners, yes.

Jodan Levy is a great guy and a class act. It's also nice to have a local guy on there air in afternoon drive in 2011! That being said when he brings on the Rotary Club president and the Boys Club director I find more often than not I'm turning the dial to the other talk station WCRN 830 who carries the Howie Carr show.

I assume the ratings will show otherwise and most people in Worcester choose Levy over Carr, but I think Worcester might be an anomaly and for Clear Channel like someone posted earlier they can get the most bang for their buck by syndicating Jay in all of their New England markets.

Jay and el Globo will have fun slamming each other.. btw it was in the Globe that a priceless picture appeared of Jay cowering behind a table as Don-O tore into him during a Kiss Me I'm Imus event! The Globe criticized Jay, who responded by referring to a Globe columnist
as "Scat He-Lies" (Scot Lehigh)

It all depends on the market. If enough people enjoy the Boring Broadsheet, as the Herald
calls it, it survives. Same with James Thompson Severino the III.
