Severin's contract

Anyone know when his contract expires? It seems he has more vacation time than God, and you can't really rely on whether he'll even be on the air on any given day (like today for example). I can't imagine that management would want to continue a relationship like that much longer, and at that salary.
 
Even when he's supposedly live, they often play repeats without announcing them.

If I happen to listen twice in a week, and I recognize the same segment verbatim ..... CLICK.
 
or it could be he talks about the same thing over and over again he hasn't been the same since the suspension
 
I'm nowhere near a radio, so I went to WTKK's website and clicked on 'Listen Now' and there were two guys I didn't recognize who were downplaying the big political news as a result of last night's elections, and discussing the woman who went into a football locker room.
 
He may be on vacation; he did call in to McPhee's show last night. The two guys, not sure who they are, have done fill ins there recently

He might have more time off than God, I tend to doubt he has more time off than the Big O.
 
I'm so glad you brought this up. Severin seems to endlessly repeat himself, and so in a way even a live show is a rerun! He's been through so many schticks (smarmy sex-crazed Jay, loving Daddy Jay, super athlete Jay, etc.) Who is he anyhow? He seems to me either a superman or a super fraud; I have no idea any more. I guess he intrigues me from time to time, but mostly I am just tired of his braggy blather.
 
Jay out 3 out of 4 days this week so far. I wonder if he has some kind of illness that prevents him from working more than a couple of days a week? Anyone know what the latest afternoon drive time ratings are for RKO and TKK? Howie must be creaming the TKK "pot luck" afternoon drive...
 
Supposedly his contract gives him lots of time off. In the past during summer you hardly ever heard him (at one point WTKK had Hannity so they would run Hannity live in his place; later they'd have Grace Blazer's pal Michael Smerconish do a show...or pick up the syndicated Todd Schnitt show, etc)

I think when WRKO had to match TKK's offer to Howie, that offer included a bit more vaca time
for Howie too--perhaps to "match was Jay was getting". "I'm going to take every teacher's holiday there is," he has said. Though Severin's
time off provision may be for still more.
