At least it is not the long rumored "Q-102"! LOL!1069_KIFR said:Listening to the toh id for MOViN997, St John really emphasizes the letter Q in their call letters (kmv Q )

Are there any SF radio stations that round off the frequency anymore? I mean I remember, "Jive 95 @ 94.9" and "X-100 @ 99.7" but I don't think radio stations do that anymore. It is more digital with a "Point This" or a "Dot That".musicman3355 said:Q100? Ironically, the CHR in Atlanta "Q100" is also on 99.7.

But KMEL is located at 106.1 & KITS is located at 105.3 so technically they are on that number. I was thinking something more like the end frequency, especially the ones at ".7" & ".9" KSEG-96.9 Sacramento used to be "97 KROY", KMRQ-96.7 Manteca used to be KSJQ-"Q-97". In the bay area, 98.9, used to be known as FM 99. and KXXX-99.7 was X-100. That is what I mean't.Lkeller said:Madmansam said:Are there any SF radio stations that round off the frequency anymore? Well...technically, both 106/KMEL and Live 105 round off, but they round down, which is easier for listeners to figure out. I don't think any stations in the Bay Area round up anymore. Supposedly, listener confusion about dial position was a problem for X-100, though it doesn't seem to bother listeners of Power 106 (105.9) in LA.
