SF TV ID'ing question

Do stations licensed to San Francisco recognize The City Across The Bay in their legals?

E.g. does Channel 5 show ID graphics saying "KPIX San Francisco/Oakland"

This R-I'er didn't notice when I visited SF 25 years ago. :)-)

KM, I am curious if the tv stations in Los Angeles does the same thing(dual city id's) ?

Only the stations licensed to cities other than Los Angeles have dual city IDs, to add "Los Angeles" after the real COL.

For example:
KVEA/52 Corona-Los Angeles
KDOC/56 Anaheim-Los Angeles <P ID="signature">______________

Back when KTVU started doing that, in fact, they had to receive specific authorization from the FCC to use a dual-city station identified.

Personally, I best remember the old animated ID from some twenty years or more ago, which started zoomed in on an upside-down channel 2 logo, then pulled away as it rotated to correct position. When it got right-side-up, the lettering "KTVU Oakland-San Francisco" appeared underneath the top portion of the "2" and the announcement was simply "THIS ... is Channel Two."<P ID="signature">______________

In AZ, KPNX ID's as Phoenix-Mesa. Their COL is Mesa.<P ID="signature">______________

My favorite was "There's only ONE...TWO!" announced by a satirically pompous sounding announcer.
