I made the news today (oh boy)...
A group of San Francisco city officials, including arts commission director Luis Cancel, plus local arts/media groups and concerned citizens toured the old (but magnificent) Hibernia Bank building at Jones & Market streets yesterday.
The building would make an amazing cultural center and museum complex. (See www.HiberniaCenter.org for the proposal.)
NBC11 covered the story on last night's newscast, and the Chronicle has it in this morning's edition, which is also online at SFgate.com.
Whether this happens at the Hibernia or not, we're well on the way to finally establishing a real broadcasting museum in the city. The city, local arts groups and the community are behind the project, and the momentum is reaching its peak.
If you are interested in getting involved, please contact me off the board (PM or email me directly).
