Seacrest is on JYY middays replacing the voicetracked stylings of Gabrielle Vaughn.
PD AJ Duquette still does PM drive, and I'm pretty sure but not 100% he's tracked also.

You're right. An example of a BIG SHAKE UP would be replacing your entire staff with a satilitte format. Would that happening on your sister station the 96.5 The MILL qualify?

I would have to say the happenings at The Mill in the last few weeks would quailify as a shack up. When I think BIG SHAKE UP I think format and complete staff switch, or even when a staton goes completely off the air. Those are big. Switching middayers is standard course, even if it is with a highly known personality like Seacrest. Trust me i know about middayers

That's a funny thing to say considering everything said on-air at the Nassau station comes off a liner card. Knowing how to pronounce an odd town name like "Contoocook" would be the only advantage having local jocks gives you.

Personally I don't think that's at all worth mentioning.

The machine BEHIND Ryan Seacrest is all that is wrong about radio today, I can totally agree with. However, Ryan Seacrest is a star, whether I like him or not and good for him for being able to capitalize on it.

Further, Ryan's appeal to the American Idol crowd carries a lot of weight, whether he's a goofball or not. I mean I didn't particularly care for Bob Saget's taking America's Funniest Home Videos and clearly (now) it wasn't his forte. But he took the "Full House" ball and ran with it and good for him.
