Shame on YOU, Clear Channel

Shame on YOU, Clear Channel, for doing the following things:

Releasing Jay Hooks from your station
Also, for FIRING Tasha Stevens as well.

BOTH the above were SERIOUS REVENUE GENERATORS for your stations. Now may you suffer the wrath of debt that will envelope you.

I know you have good intentions but I doubt Clear Channel will toss and turn in bed tonight and dread what tomorrow will being because of your post.

But, hey, this forum is all about getting things off everyones' radio chests.

Keep those opinions coming! But don't ever expect any changes anywhere to be made in radio from any posts on the internet. You're dealing with mindless corporate droids.

I must agree with you Beernuts, and I'll add soulless droids, if there is such a word. However, if their souls are evil, I suppose they have them. I'll leave the metaphysics for another discussion and just wish the best for Tasha.
Depending on how and why she was released, she might be able to work at another CC station. I know she could do a great job afternoons on WRNO.

I do hope they did not coerce her into signing one of their infamous severance agreements when they let her go. I'm glad I didn't take the money and retained my legal rights, otherwise I wouldn't even be able to post here or write a letter 90 years in the future about radio.

Hey Hooks, do you think with the increasing lame content of W&J, do you think that Entercom will dump them for a local show, like yourself, and have sidekicks for you ie. Gordy Rush and Trey Parnell? How about Tasha? Like in your last post, instead of WRNO, she would do MUCH BETTER on the Bayou.
When you were on the Eagle in Baton Rouge, you were kicking the asses of W&J.
the only reason people ever listened to W&J was not for John and Steve, IT WAS HOOKS............

You are right that between CC and Entercom, Tasha or anyone else would do better and be happier at Entercom. I wouldn't expect Entercom to replace anyone else with me. Thank you for listening to me over the years and being supportive with your opinions, but I'm someone who likes to move forward and I don't really have a desire to reunite with people I've worked with in the past, both good and bad.
