Burke was a poor choice for Real Radio. They should have left him on Mornigns at WFLF. Hearing that Neil Rogers is talking to CC Orlando about simulcasting his show on TKS. Would be interesting lead-in to Jim Philips!

That guy that was on WDBO at night in the 80's was Morton Downing Jr. He has since passed away about 5 years ago. Morton went from DBO to WLS then to high highly rated TV show...he was pre-Jerry Springer...I had the pleasure to know Mort well and what a personality..it was all about show biz..all the time

Burke was interesting and had talent, what he didn't have was discipline and management. He's the kind of guy that requires a very strong PD, one who will get right down into his personal business like we had in the 80's, to keep him in line and maximize his benefit both to the station and to his own stupid-ass self.
BTW, I am a liberal Democrat and not Burkka's target demo. As an old PD, though, I can see the raw talent that was there. Much better than the crap after his co-host and side-kicks tried to continue the show...that station needs a PD who can be a PD.
They already are -- unless you're suggesting they flip to all-news. That's not even working in LA these days, and to suggest it as a possibility in Orlando is absurd. Did you mean they could flip to Newsradio 92.3, or 96.5, or 95.3?
