Shannon Steele out at WKDD

Shannon's a no-BS kinda chick. I always thought it was odd pairing her with Wallace, a guy who fancies himself the alpha.

And fancies is the keyword.

I don't know nor care what he fancies himself as but I think someone should update the website air staff page. 3 people are listed as hosting the 3pm-7pm shift.

Make that four. Billy The Kidd is also listed on the website as 3p-7p. He actually does 7p-10p on 'KDD.

Kasper is THE 2p-7p host on WKDD. Krissy Taylor (Kasper's wife) does 10p-2a if I am not mistaken and Tessa Hall does 10a-2p. The times should change on the website to reflect their current and actual shifts.

At one time, Tessa and Krissy had each hosted PM Drive (though voicetracking) on the station and I do remember hearing Shannon hosting 2p-7p right before Jenn was officially gone. Jon Marochino was hosting 3p-7p at one time right when Keith and Krissy were the first AM team following Matt Patrick's depature.

Come to think of it, all of the main dayparts have changed since Matt left with the exception of Keith. Mornings - a new female co-host with the male every year or so. Middays - Toni Foxx, then Heather Williams, then Lori Bradley, then Krissy, then Jon, then Tessa. Afternoons - Jon, then Tessa, then Shannon, then Krissy, then Kasper. Evenings - Billy Bush, then Cindy Spicer, then Billy the Kidd. I think Shelly Wade was overnights at one point. Talk about a lot of changes since late '09.

At least the imaging is better than a while back.

According to OMW Tony McGinty will be the new co-host of WKDD and their new Assistant program director. Nothing against Tony but is that like when there are 2 umpires and one is the crew chief making the other one the Assistant crew chief? Good luck to him. People rarely seem to last long as the morning co-host on WKDD.

OMW also mentioned there will be a female added to the morning show, meaning WKDD's AM crew will become a trio instead of a duo.

Let's the two new additions will last longer than the previous ones.

I've also been hearing Krissy along with Keith on some promos, so who knows if she comes back and if Kasper can join her too.

Kennedy morning Show WKDD

Kennedy was the little 13year old dude that was called KID when he used to call WSLR as a child and request Hank Jr. And for him to grow up to be a big boy at a big AKRON station is pretty typical AKRON radio. Sort of hard for me to believe, but I certainly believe it. As a 13 year old the little Kennedy Tike dreamed of that fateful day in AKRON and of the on the air bliss he now experiences and of the day HE would be cuing that record - and now as if a promise from heaven it is all a reality. I worked with dude briefly at WQMX back in 1993 and I knew all of that then, but never had the heart to tell him, I really was on the big radio when he was 13 and it was not far from the California coast with all those California Girls which made the SUNSHINE wages much more acceptable. Now THAT for me, was the real dream.

Remembering When...

...WKDD was a major flamethrower back in the late 90's through the great Signal Swap of a few years ago...

Just seems like Clear Channel grew fearful of having their Cleveland signals harmed from a revenue standpoint...so for whatever reason, WKDD had to be destroyed..

And Clear Channel destroyed it, but good...its a shell of what it once was..which is one of the many reasons why I no longer listen to commercial radio...my iPhone, iPod, Pandora, Spotify and Podcasts do the trick, and will from now till the end of my time...
