Sharpe 99.3

New format launches Thursday, November 15th at 2:00 pm. We at Max Media of Arkansas in Russellville have "given" Sharpe Dunaway his own radio station, and have branded it Sharpe 99.3, The River Valley Rocker. He'll be on live weekday afternoons from 2-6. Lineup also includes Kramer in the mornings and Nights with Alice Cooper, among other things. Advertiser reception has been excellent so far, and we're pretty excited about it!

I sure hate to see 'Oldies 99.3' go since I love the wide variety of music they play but as a 24 year veteran of the business I understand that the realities. Good luck to Rich, Sharpe and the crew.

That funky signal on KVLD is a challenge of it's own. It really doesn't city grade anywhere there are multitudes of people.

The station should be well heard outside the 60db contour, especially in cars. The problem with hearing KVLD 99.3 in Conway will be IBOC QRM from adjacent KDIS 99.5 (Radio Disney) in North Little Rock (AR). I don't see a problem in Russelleville proper but areas west in valleys may not have a good signal. Fan of Sharpe in the Little Rock metro at least will be able to stream online.

Actually KVLD's signal is pretty decent in Conway. It does fall off pretty quickly at about Mayflower though. Problem is that there are a lot of great signals in Conway, even KFFB at 106.1 does well as soon as you get away from the ridge north of town. But you're right rg, KVLD's signal is particularly lousy to the west.
