Sharps Ridge Tower Farm,,,, Cause massive RF overload to most stations.

Just how much RF are all these monster sticks putting out. I remember back in the 80s and 90s that WOKI would just go crazy with Front End Overload going by the towers for about 3 miles.. And if listening to 99.9 WKSF Asheville Sharp Ridge would make the signal just completely disappear,, does the same thing to Electric 94.9..... For some reason when CHR was Z93.1 and Star 93.1 it didnt seem to affect it nearly as bad... WOKI 100.3 despite being 20 miles away from the big flame thrower just got scrambled going by Sharp Ridge in the 80s and 90s.... Not sure if it still happens,, cause I have no reason to tune to 100.3 anymore......

Interesting question.. I'll check with my RF meter next time I go up there. I'll have to calibrate the darn thing. There's so much RF on Signal Mountain in Chatt, and Holston Mountain in Tri-Cities, that I always have to recalibrate it before using it.
