Shaughnessy on ESPN 890 4 pm/more Theo-gate

According to Boston Sports Media Watch, the Curly Haired Boyfriend, Larry Lucchino's confidant (?), Mr. Dan "Curse of the" Shaughnessy will be on
ESPN 890/1400 today at 4 pm with Mike Felger. (espnboston.com streaming)

He has also been on the Fan in NY and Mike "A Yuk On Every Page" Barnicle
(WTKK) earlier as well as Kiss 108. Meanwhile BSMW's David Scott will be
on Newsnight (NECN 8:30) to talk about Theo-gate.

Shaughnessy discounted the possibility that "another deal came up" (LA?)...he thinks Epstein may go into social work with his brother.

Q: Do you think it's bad that there's conflict of interest with the Globe/NY Times owning part of Sox?

A: No, after all the Chi. Tribune has owned Cubs for years
(i.e., 'so what's wrong with that'?)

Shaughnessy: "We were wrong" (in falsely reporting Theo
had a deal, yesterday)

Felger: "Maybe the Globe underestimated that Epstein had the resolve to walk away..."

Shaughnessy: "John Henry and Larry Lucchino are the biggest losers in all this...Epstein walks with his head high..."

--He was only on for about 10 minutes on ESPN 890. Felger:
"Thanks for being on, Dan and just remember it's all
your fault..." :)

Re: Shaughnessy - the new Judith Miller

Not since the late Jerry Williams allegedly got his very young gal pal
a sweet lottery job (Talulah Nicole-Smith??? - sorry Stenopad...) have we
seen such, such...NEPOTISM!

Judith Miller works for the NYTimes which owns the Globe and The Boston Red Sox, so Dan Shaughnessy, who phoned me at home because he didn't like my letter to the Globe defending Drew Bledsoe when Shaughnessy tore into him, who works for the Globe which is owned by the NY Times, pulls a Judith Miller and gets some "inside info" from a company the paper he works for is affiliated with.

Fascinating. Raccoon - the fact that you have him on the Mike Barnicle show,
that's not a yuk on every page, it's just yukky.

Spinning the AM radio dial I heard a number of Sports shows - outside of
1510 and 850. Are there three other sports stations on AM? or is Theo a hotter topic than Harry Reid?

Maybe Luccino can buy 1510 and have Shaughnessy on 24/7???

Re: Shaughnessy - the new Judith Miller

well, I was just repeating what it said on Boston Sports Media watch (the diff.
places he was on--he was on tons of stations)

the fact that you have him on the

Re: Shaughnessy - the new Judith Miller

I know, Raccoon, it was lost in the translation, sorry.

Meant to say the fact that you noticed he was on Barnicle and
the hypocrisy of Shaughnessy - now caught in a web - being on
disgraced writer Barnicle's show - not just a yuk on every page,
just improper behaviour. Every time I read a Globe Red Sox story
it appears like a "press release" from the ownership. It is hard
to sift through truth and fiction.

meanwhile one of the few substantial things left in The Herald
is its Sports section, especially when they got rid of Michael Gee
before he imploded.
