Shelley Duffy replaces Kate

Anybody know if this is true? If it is, seems that Star will soon be having all B-94 alumni: Duffy, Scott Alexander, Johnny Hartwell.

Thoughts?

It is true. per PBRTV it says that Shelley starts on Monday. I really thought that JR and Kate had good chemistry on the star morning show. Is this part of a CBS budget cut for Kate Harris?
 
It would seem that way. I think it was the PG that had an article about it. It mentioned that Kate handled it very professionally, and it said it dealt with condensing roles.

I'm surprised she didn't get the job on Star back in 2004. Nothing against Kate, but it would've been nice to have John, Bubba & Shelley back together. With B94 back, I could care less about Star today.
 
wow...another b94 alum on the air...do you really think it's gonna make a difference? i was in pittsburgh when the b was hot....that was almost 15 years ago!!!!!!!! LET IT GO. i feel sorry for kate , they should of let them both go, not single one out. or better yet, keep kate. at least she sounds like she's in the demo... that jr sounds like wjas material.....(no offense to jas intended)...INFINITY JUST WANTS TO SAVE MONEY...come on, old b94 jocks aint the answer, just take a look around...
 
How long until Kate shows up on the Q?

I hope she ends up with something if she wants it. Because she did a good job.
 
I made it a point to listen to Star this morning. I cannot believe they fired Kate and replaced her with Shelley.

Granted as with any new pairing, there is an adjustment/grace period, but JR and Shelley sound so forced. Not funny and not fun at all.

JR and Kate had a natural chemistry. Kate also fit their demo nicely. They fired the wrong woman, IMO.
 
CBS was leaning on Keith Clarke to unload another salary and he chose to keep one of his B-94 buddies around rather than part of an OK morning show. To him having Shelley around was more important than anything else so out Kate went. Its all a numbers game and Keith figures if he's going down, he'd rather go down with people he trusts and likes.
