Sherri Shepherd Show cancelled

The Variety article also mentioned the following shows that are waiting to see if they are renewed or not:
Drew Barrymore
Jennifer Hudson
Karamo
Steve Wilkos
I didn't mention Jennifer Hudson because while not official, will most likely be cancelled.

And Steve Wilkos and Karamo do not even air in San Diego. I even thought Wilkos had been cancelled.

Uh, no. There is a difference between a daytime talk show and a daytime soap. Are you new to America?
Not exactly. I was born here almost 66 years ago and have lived here my entire life.

Here is what you wrote (emphasis mine):

As far as nationally syndicated and network daytime talk shows, is this what we have left?

The View

Drew Barrymore
Live with Kelly and Mark
Tamron Hall

That's how many daytime soaps are left! Yep, daytime talk is now facing the same downward spiral.

I would read this to say that you are referring to the four shows on the list as "soaps". I figured it was just a slip of the tongue (or keyboard).

Whatever.

I wonder if any new daytime talk shows are in the works for next season? If not, the genre is truly dead.
To answer my own question, this is all I could find. It's far from being a done deal, as they will test it for a week on the Fox affiliate in New York.

In other words, Fox's attempt at a "Live with Kelly and Mark" knock off.
I can see Scotto being sort of an "acquired taste" outside of the NY market.

My Mom, 82 years young, really liked the Sherri Shepherd Show. She thinks the fans will talk the producers into changing their minds/renewing the show.

Also, she DOES NOT like the Jennifer Hudson Show. My Mom says that Jennifer does not know how to interview her guests. She thinks Sherri is an excellent host.

Tell your mom that the industry is moving away from that type of talk show, and the fans have the same chances as a snowball does in Hell.

He's got you there, Kat. I went back to that post myself.

Calling Dr. Freud ...

Steve Wilkos wasn't cleared in West Michigan after WXMI FOX17 dropped him in fall 2021 and then Sinclair ARC-WMI picked Wikos up in Jan, 1, 2024 when they lost The CW don't ask why they changed it up which they didn't other than 8PM to 10PM TND, J, & Kelly Clarkson from 8PM to 10PM. Now ARC-WMI airs WWMT News at 6PM at 8PM since channel 3 took daytime J at 3PM.

Wilkos and Caramo do not air in Denver, Caramo has never aired here. Wilkos got dropped by KWGN back in 2019.
