She's Like The Wind

As everyone knows by now, Patrick Swayze yesterday.

You may recall many radio stations breaking format when Michael Jackson died. How many stations are playing Swayze's top-10 hit from 1987?

I don't really see that happening.  Swayze was a one-hit wonder on the charts, and while he was a decent singer, the song just wasn't really all that great.  He was better known for movies and television, and that is where he is being remembered.  The Barbara Walters interview with him from earlier this year is being reaired tonight.

I will say, however, that "She's Like the Wind" seemed to be in light to medium rotation on my local AC station, and I look for that to continue.

Well She's Like The Wind has been in regular rotation on Magic 98.9 in Greenville, SC forever, they just played it during the 80s lunch hour. That's all though, about what I would expect.

I'm grateful I haven't heard it. I don't remember whether Timeless Classics was playing it back when I still had an affiliate. Maybe I'm remembering it from the WDUV playlist online.

I would say that is one of the most burned out songs in the history of music. I'm sorry that he passed away but I never want to hear that song again.

Ditto. If I hear it on a station, I hit the scan button!
