Shop-At-Home Network Shut down already?

Apparently The Shop-At-Home Network has shut down already. I woke up at 6AM and found Jewelery Channel on 2 Channels on my Cable System that normally ran the Shop-At-Home Network. It was on WSAH/43 Bridgeport, Connecticut which was the flagship station of The Shop-At-Home Network. It was also on "UPN 9" WCTX/59 New Haven, CT which has run ran the Shop-At-Home in the overnight hours for many years.

See my post on the New England Board to find out how many other channels on my cable system were running Jewelery Television this morning.

It's the same here in Madison, WI on Charter Cable. Jewelry Television is currently airing on both channels 66 and 67 (the latter being Shop-at-Home's channel location).

Also the website is down, but has a little message saying
"We're Sorry, Our site is temporarily down for technical upgrades and enhancements."

As for Shop At Home Network they must of sold everything already :D or they didn't want to pay their works one more day. Now we get a waste of space with Jewelry TV, I would of rather had Shop NBC at least.

I wonder what will become of 43 in Bridgeport?

Se Habla Espanol TV for Southern CT?

I saw a crawl saying "The New Shop at Home will debut Friday June 23rd at 12 AM CDT"

I think there are WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYy too MANy shopping networks. Nevermind the little rinky dinky ones who buy time on the satelitte...

You are right, Julius May. I have DISH Network, and Channel 224 (Shop at Home) has Jewelry TV. It says the same thing on the bottom about a new Shop At Home. Why did they shut down if they are coming back on Friday? I sort of thought this would happen.

I just saw the same message Julius saw about "The New Shop@Home Network" coming on Friday June 23rd at 12AM CDT. Makes me wonder if Jewelery TV bought or is buying Shop@Home. On a related note Both Jewelery TV and Shop@Home are located in Tennessee.

The reason I didn't see this message earlier is that WSAH/43 shows their E/I and Public Affairs Programming from 7AM-1030AM on Wednesdays.

Marc:

Hmm, maybe Jewelry TV is LMAing or operating the network now and will just be using the name.

However, I think a full time, full power outlet for hispanics in Bridgeport, New haven and etc would be a great idea.

Here in Houston, Time Warner Cable has replaced Shop At Home with WSS "Worldwide Shopping Source." More info at:

http://www.shoppingsource.com

Shop At Home used to be on a full power OTA here (KZJL/61) but that flipped to independent Spanish language several years ago. It was subsequently on a LP operation (K30CV) but that station was sold, shut down, upgraded and relaunched as KCVH, the flagship of LAT-TV, a Hispanic targeted service. Shop at Home had been on TW since the loss of the full power OTA outlet.

Jewerly Television was on where Shop At Home was but now I am seeing WCC. So I guess Time Warner over here also changed it as Jewerly Television is on a digital channel I know.

I have to agree we have way too many shopping channels and I don't know about other cable systems but in our area with Comcast, they tend to stick the shopping channels on lower tiers and put the good stuff up on higher tiers, forcing you to buy higher tiers to get that stuff, but you can get that tier without carrying the lower tier.

That is because Comcast and other cable providers are being paid a decent amount of money to do so. The more money the cable company gets, the lower the channel position.
