^ Sure your "5000" Spanish isn't 5025 Radio Rebelde, Cuba?

Not sure if Venezuela is still using 5000 for its time signal YVTO, but it could be them.

Those ones in the 8.000 khz area - they are images of 31m stations. Your radio (the S350) has problems with SW images, a LOT.

At 3:20 PM EST, I heard a preaching-like talk on 15550 USB and a very weak music on 11660 on AM mode at the same time (perhaps from Australia?)

"Images" are false copies of real signals your radio is receiving. They are internally generated signals -- internally generated by your receiver, usually because of strong signals slamming the antenna and overloading the radio's RF section (that's the section that directly amplifies what's coming off the antenna).

They're also called "overload images". Some radios are more prone to them than others. They usually have something to do with the IF frequency of the radio, too. I understand just enough about this to not explain it very well....

I have a few multiband transistor SW radios that have images, especially if I connect them to a long wire antenna. The stronger SW signals will create false signals from the 31 meter SW band, which will appear below 9 mhz. If I use an antenna tuner, it usually reduces them. Mostly I just live with them and ignore them, if using those radios.

I also sometimes get images on a couple of my digital SW radios, if conditions are very good. For example, on some occasions I can get images from the 19 meter SW band on the 20 meter ham band.

i keep getting a stupid image of Radio Marti on 1710 khz on one radio. This a new condition for that radio too.

I am not so sure that this is an image! I think that there was a report of Marti using 1710, but I am not 100% on that.

I have a local on 1700, so it'd be hard to pick it apart down here near Miami.
