Only if they end up going Rhythmic CHR. When the then-WBTT(A station named, ironically, The Beat, in Florida has those calls BTW)first signed on in August 1996 under then-PD Jeff Ballentine, it was more Rhythmic. At the end of its run on August 7, 2000, The Beat had become more of a Pop-leaning CHR under PD Dino Robitalle when the station flipped to Kiss-FM. Remember, this was during the time period when Clear Channel was flipping almost all of its Pop CHRs to the Kiss brand name. As far as if the station had ratings back in 1996, I wasn't following ratings and trends back then, so if someone knows if they had ratings back in that era, please send the numbers along. I do know before 94.5 became The Beat, it was previously X-Rock(Which signed on the 94.5 signal in 1993-I don't remember the calls)and later Oldies 94.5 WDOL(They used to play the commercial for Oldies 94.5 quite often on Channel 7).
