I always wondered what that spanish station was on 88.1 I finaly found it at Radio-locator, KFTG at Pasadena. I can get them almost all the time with my antenna 20' up of corse out here in Lavaca county... , I just couldnt believe that.
If you are getting KFTG you are doing better than I usually do. Right now all I can get is the translator CW mentioned K201EU. On occassion KFTG will pop up for a few seconds, and then down under K201EU.
KFTG is a very low power station with 440 watts at 30 meters. It's 60dbu Service Contour covers most of Pasadena, South Houston and Deer Park, with a range of 8.2km. K201EU is 250 watts, as CW mentioned at 61 meters and has a Service Contour of 10.3km. The antenna is NW of Katy between Katy and Brookshire.
If you indeed had KFTG that is one hell of a catch in Lavaca County as would K201EU for that matter. KFTG is "Radio Aleluya" and K201EU is the Paulino Bernal Evangelism network with frequent mentions of The Valley and San Antonio.. I moved my radio three feet from a desk to on top of a filing cabinet and now I have KFTG on top with K201EU in the background. Strange.
Congratulations on catching KFTG, you should be able to get the translator as well. K201EU has overtaken KFTG on the filing cabinet and on New Years Eve Day. KFTG is just no match for the translator, which I have had on the truck radio mixing with KFTG until I got into the canyons of downtown and lost them both.
I just checked recnet and Aleluya Christian Broadcasting is the organization that operates KFTG out of Pasadena on Pasadena Blvd. They have an active translator on Pelican Island K201DZ at 88.1, licensed to Port Bolivar and construction permits for K227BD in Freeport on 93.3 and K236BR on 95.1 in Angleton. They have 80 ! applications for translators in the Houston area waiting to be processed.

Best wishes for a Happy New Year to all the other people that take the time to post here. May 2007 be a great year for you.
Now it is a mix of both stations about even and time to change the station.
